Rusty Chinnis is an outdoor photographer, fly fishing and travel writer from Longboat Key, Florida. Rusty freelances for magazines including; American Angler, Fly Fishing in Saltwaters, Florida Sportsman, Sport Fishing and Tide Magazines. 

 Rusty is the Outdoors Editor of the Anna Maria Island Sun and a Contributing Editor of Fly Fishing in Saltwaters Magazine.

Rusty served as President and Chairman of the Board of The Florida Outdoor Writers Association and is a member of the Outdoor Writers Association of America.

Rusty is also a Federation of Flyfishers Certified fly casting instructor and an Orvis Endorsed Group fly casting instructor.
